La Jolla Beach Cottage

The goal of this project was to create a sanctuary. A home that can host dinner parties, early morning bible studies, and cozy curl-ups on the sofa after a long, hard day at the beach. The fabrics are in the same color palette, with different dimensions. Almost all of the art in the house was made by the client, or are her great grandmother's paintings. The little boy’s room is filled with patterns and textures to create a place where he will never grow up. The Master Bedroom’s natural light was emphasized through bright whites, creamy textures, and organic materials. The bedroom drew inspiration from the clients recent travels abroad and included her grandmother’s favorite sculpture.

Blessings and native sand abound.
